Welcome to Worth It ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, progressive web app, and services at tryworthit.app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Worth It is an AI-powered tool designed to help you break down life goals into single, actionable quests and document your journey. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

2. Disclaimers & Assumption of Risk (Please Read Carefully)

Because Worth It uses generative AI to suggest real-world actions, you must exercise your own common sense and judgment. By using the app, you agree to the following:

• Not Professional Advice: Worth It is for productivity, personal growth, and entertainment purposes only. The AI is not a doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, therapist, or certified professional. Any quests related to health, fitness, investments, business incorporation, or legal matters are suggestions, not professional advice.

• Assumption of Risk: If a quest suggests a physical activity (e.g., "Go for a 3-mile run" or "Attend a martial arts class"), social interaction, or financial decision, you undertake it entirely at your own risk. You agree that we are not liable for any injuries, damages, financial losses, or awkward social encounters that result from completing a quest.

• AI Unpredictability: While we have strict guardrails in place, Artificial Intelligence can sometimes "hallucinate" or provide inaccurate, impractical, or strange information. You are strictly responsible for evaluating the safety and legality of any task before doing it.

3. Accounts and "Viral Energy" (Freemium Rules)

• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 years old (or have parental permission) to make a purchase.

• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (via our secure authentication provider).

• Fair Use of the Referral System: Our free tier uses a "Viral Energy" system where you can earn Quest Tokens by sharing your Chronicle or inviting friends. Any attempt to abuse, automate, or spam this system with fake accounts will result in immediate account termination.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

If you upgrade to our Premium tier ("Infinite Focus"):

• Billing: You will be billed in advance on a recurring, periodic basis (monthly or annually). Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

• Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your Premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

• Refunds: Because we incur direct costs from AI providers for every quest generated, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

5. Intellectual Property & User Content

• Your Content: You retain ownership of all the reflections, text, and data you submit to the app. By submitting it, you grant us a license to process it through our systems and third-party AI providers (like OpenAI) solely to provide the Service back to you.

• Our Content: We own the app, the code, the UI design, the specific prompts, and the Worth It branding. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell our software. (However, you are highly encouraged to screenshot and share your AI-generated Chronicle entries on social media!)

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate quests for illegal, harmful, violent, or malicious activities.

• Attempt to "jailbreak" or prompt-inject the AI to bypass our safety guardrails.

• Scrape, reverse engineer, or heavily tax our API with automated requests.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Worth It and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or physical well-being resulting from your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or $50, whichever is greater.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the app evolves. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
